Spring, is a good time to start planning weddings, and Sussex hosts several of wedding fayres, this one was at the Grand Hotel in Brighton, East Sussex. Most couples plan one or even two years in advance.
This time I was there with my dear friend Adrienne Thomas adrienne-celebrant.moonfruit.com ., an independent celebrant and a magnificent performer and singer. This time we decided to promote our services together. We were effectively combining the services of a wedding celebrant with my live guitar music.
Most couples were unaware that one could hire an independent celebrant. The common impression was that they already had the celebrant for their ceremony organised. Actually people can choose to have their own celebrant or one provided by the registry office.
A registry office wedding can be limited in space, meaning that not all the family and friends can be accommodated, and the venue may be limited in how long you can spend having the ceremony. With an independent celebrant you can create your own ceremony and hold it at another wedding venue. You can actually design the ceremony you want and share it with all your guests!
The celebrant will guide through the process of creating a custom designed ceremony and all of your guests will witness your expression of love and commitment towards eachother. The ceremony can be underpinned with guitar music to enhance the experience.
Your wedding ceremony is therefore not just a ‘prelude’ to the actual wedding celebration, it truly becomes the centrepiece of the whole wedding and it won’t just be a few people witnessing it because of space constraints in the registrar. Everybody you invited will see it and it is usually filmed which allows you to share your most important event with all your connections around the world.
Adrienne’s particular talents mean that she can effortlessly go from being the celebrant into being the Master of Ceremonies, or even entertain and sing., I have witnessed her doing this at several weddings, it was fantastic, memorable, and very lively. It is this combination of ceremony and live music that will make your wedding a really special and a unique event.
